Just because you have the best record in the NBA doesn't immediately make you the best team. They are great, that is for sure, but I don't think they are #1.

I have been waitng for this since they were an expansion team. St. Louis was in the running for them or the grizz for awhile. I wish St. Louis had an NBA team. I would have season tickets.

they are the hottest team in the league, therefore #1, power rankings arent based on the whole season, they're based on the record of your team and how you did in the last week

This is the first time they've been ranked #1 since December 1994.
They've demonstrated that they should definitely be ranked above the Lakers, but so far they haven't played the Cavs yet and they've lost the only game they've played against the Celtics. They need to at least break even with both of those teams to prove they deserve to be ranked #1.

i think the magic are a great team but a nice winning steak doesn't constitute a number one spot......i would slot them 4th...this would be my top 4
1.Lakers
2.Cavs (might be number one if it weren't for injuries)
3.Celtics
4.Magic
