Dante Lavelli....
Well- it's a sad day here in Cleveland. A true legend passed away. Some of you put some touching notes on the "Death notice" thread. I met Dante once about 12 years ago- he came and spoke to our highschool football team (our stadium is named after him). Super nice guy- always smiling.
Out of pure coincidence, I sent him a letter and a picture to sign yesterday (I never did get his autograph when I met him) with the updated addy that was posted in the success thread. Now I feel like a ghoul for sending it. If any of you would happen to have an extra index card signed by him, please PM me. Thanks

I didn't post in the other forum, but that's truly too bad. He was my second TTM autograph that I received back in November. Mr. Lavelli was a great signer. He was a true Ohio guy, being a Buckeye and a Brown, so his autograph is one of my favorites. This is especially sad for me since he was a great player for my local teams. I'm glad I got my autograph when I did. He's going to be missed.
