    When A Curious Mind Wonders...

With the new release from Press Pass called Element, I became curious about how the racing community is going to call it?

For me, it is Wheels Element. That is just one way that I've seen it, and I prefer that for a number of reasons...all having a Wheels connection:

    • Wheels plastic on box
    • Wheels Autographs in release
    • A Wheels Brand on the box

I've also seen it called Press Pass Element, Press Pass Wheels Element, and Element.

So, again, I was just curious about how the racing community is going to call it? Feel free to discuss this topic. Please keep the discussion civil though. You don't have to post in this thread unless you want to. Just simply cast your vote on the poll. If you choose Something Else as your vote on the poll, please post explaining why.

If a set changes name or gets replaced with something else I call it what it is..in this case Press Pass Element.

There's only one Element, adding anything to it is redundant.

Interesting discussion and poll so far!

I have actually been thinking it over, and I too might consider calling it Element (regardless of the fact that it is leading in this poll). After all, Press Pass didn't attach their name or the Wheels name to it. So, it wouldn't make sense to call it Wheels Element or Press Pass Element. Also, if some of you remember there were some sets like Crown Jewel Elite that were Wheels sets. So, I guess as long as you are collecting and know what you are looking for, does it really matter to some what the sets are called? No. As long as you are happy and doing something that you like, that is all that really matters.

Thanks for participating this this poll and discussion so far everyone.

The Only set I call Press Pass is Press Pass & Press Pass Premium,
The Rest I refer to as what they are.

So The 2009 Line~Up for me is
    2009 Press Pass
    12/11/08
    2009 Shifting Gears
    1/13/09
    2009 Element
    1/21/09
    2009 Eclipse
    2/25/09
    2009 Press Pass Premium
    3/25/09
    2009 Stealth
    To Be Announced
    2009 Speedway
    To Be Announced
    2009 VIP
    To Be Announced
    2009 American Thunder
    To Be Announced
    2009 Nascar Sports Blasters
    To Be Announced
    2009 Legends
    To Be Announced

Since Press Pass Holds the Monopoly it seems senseless to me to add the tag to each set

    I just call it Element.
I usually don't say Pres Pass or Wheels. I just say like Eclipse, Premium, High Gear, etc.

While it is true that Press Pass did not originally call it Wheels Element, nor did it say Press Pass Element. This product pretty much replaced Wheels High Gear, even if some think it didn't.

However, in all of the advertising it mentions that the Wheels Autograph cards were going to be in this first Wheels product, it also states "A Wheels Brand" in the lower right corner of the box.

For me, when I list my cards on my driver lists it will say: "2008 Wheels Element"

    Should that be 2009?
