New to the SCF Family

Just taking a moment to say hello to everyone at SCF. My brother-in-law, kardkid74 on SCF, turned me on to this site. I'm glad he did. I'm looking forward to buying, selling, trading, and just talking sports and cards with y'all (Texas drawl).

I'm here in San Antonio so you know I'm a Spurs fan (only pro ticket in town). I've followed them since the early days in the Hemisfair Arena. I collect the big three of Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and the new stud, George Hill. I'm a huge fan of the Admiral, Sean "Ninja" Elliott, and the Iceman.

Basketball is my favorite sport to collect and watch. I even referee high school ball and I use to ref college ball at the D3 level around here. I quit the college game because the travel is on the ref and the pay is not worth it when you factor in the travel expenses. The pay isn't bad at the high school level. The main reason I do it is so that I can fund my habits: McFarlanes Sports figures, redline hotwheels, and of course sports card collecting. I'm able to buy stuff without tapping into the household budget, so it keeps the homefront nice and cozy.

I also follow the Cowboys and the Astros. Lately, its been more drama than results, but a true fan sticks with their team through the peaks and the valleys, not just the peaks.

I may be new to SCF, but I have an unblemished positive feedback of 680 on ebay. So don't let the new status be an obstacle to doing business with me. I use the same name on ebay, ogarcia66. Check it out and you'll see I'm legit.

I treat everyone the way I would want to be treated: with professionalism and integrity. I'm easy to work with. Hey, I want to build my collection as inexpensively as the next guy, and I want to help others do the same. So I want to pass along those cards I don't want at a fair price.
