Rajon Rondo
It's amazing to me what this kid is doing. I'm a Kentucky Fan, so I would know as good as anyone, this kid could not hit a jump shot in college. But just yesterday, he got a Double-Double. I'm happy for the kid don't get me wrong, but I'm surprised.

People talk about how he has a terrible shot selection and how he sucks - he had a near triple double last night, and he leads all PGs in FG%! Yes, he has a higher FG% than Chris Paul! He is amazingly good, and should emerge into an elite PG.

And he had a triple double a few weeks back, and is one of the best rebounding PGs in the NBA. He reminds me alot of Chris Paul, only CP3 scores more, but that's not surprising considering he's the best player on the team.

he will never be an elite pg.....not consistent enough!

This is exactly what I mean! How is he not consistent? The man goes out and scores 10-12 points per night AND adds 10+ assists, while pulling down anywhere from 5-12 rebounds WHILE shooting the best of ANY PG in the NBA! Tell me, what isn't consistent about that? Oh, and make sure that you take into account that he is the FOURTH best player on his team! If your arguement is going to be that he doesn't put up CP3's numbers, well, CP3 is the best player on his team BY FAR. Rondo is the fourth best player on his team, and he is still shooting better than Paul and putting up around the same numbers for asts and rebs!

he is shooting better than paul because all his shots are layups...he barely ever shoots jumpers and defenders give him the three ball all day because they know he wont make let alone attempt it....and his assists should be more than what he has per game when you have three all stars to pass to..im not saying he is bad, im just saying on any other team he would never even be talked about

I think it's even more impressive that he gets these layups (although he does take a good percentage of jumpers as well) because that means he is fast and can get around bigger guys under the basket and get the shot to fall. If he was on a different team, I think he'd be looked at as more of a star than he is now....the reason he has gotten better is because of the Big 3, but you have to have talent to improve - and he surely has talent. He's the future of the Celtics - KG, Pierce and Ray-Ray aren't going to be around forever (dang it!) ;-)

Rondo is good, but he isn't an All-Star in my opinion. I'm not sure how much of this success he is having is from his own talent, or the talent around him, it's probably a bit of both. I'd like to see how he does with a team like say...Milwaukee or the Clippers and see what he does there.
