Rare card completes master set

1993-94 Topps Black Gold Winner A/B redemption card (unredeemed)

This is one of the earliest redemption cards ever made, from before they turned into the nightmare they are today. The 1993-94 Topps product had a set called Black Gold issued in two series of 12 (series 1) and 13 (series 2). There was a Winner A you could send in for the series 1 set, a Winner B you could send in for the series 2 set, and a Winner A/B you could send in for both. These were inserted 1:288 packs, and most of them were of course sent in (everyone wanted the Shaq card), so very few remain in existence today. It's the rarest card Topps made that year. This is only the third one I've ever seen; the first two both sold for more than $35, but I got this one for 99 cents. My master set of 1993-94 Topps is now complete:

396 base cards
396 Gold cards
30 Black Gold cards including redemptions

Man I had one of those and threw it out because it was expired and figured it was useless...this was just a couple months ago to.

I also just came across NBA points cards, where you accured so many points of a player and sent them in and got the "upgrade"
