    2008 lcm

Spent the remainder of my birthday money on a box of LCM...and yes, I'm 28 and still get birthday money. Luckily, the amount has increased over the years, all except from my Mamaw...$7 every year taped to the inside of the card. Anyway, the results:

Lavelle Hawkins New Generation 50/1500...I rarely get decent PC hits, so I'm extremely happy with this - NFT
    Chad Henne Certified Potential 337/1000
Colt Brennan New Generation Gold 16/25...not bad
Chris Johnson Certified Potential 372/500...another Titans PC hit, NICE! - NFT

    and the ever-popular HITS:
Marcus Thomas New Generation auto 338/499...extremely nice signature, but who the heck is Marcus Thomas?
Mario Manningham Freshman Fabric jersey/ball auto 114/250 (blue jersey)
Joe Flacco Fabric of the Game 162/250 (purple swatch)...one small corner chip
Philip Rivers Fabric of the Game 2 color patch (light blue/dark blue, Chargers bolt pattern) 18/25 - Semi PC/HTG

Very happy with the box. Two of the four inserts were the main two guys I'm collecting this year and one of the others was Brennan #/25...inserts don't get much better than that. The Thomas sucks, but the 2 autos kind of makes up for that and the Flacco and Rivers are both nice...very happy. All are for trade except the Hawkins and Johnson and the Rivers may be HTG.

Marcus Thomas was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. On August 30, 2008, Thomas was waived by the Chargers during final cuts.

A day after being let go by the Chargers, Thomas was claimed off waivers by the Detroit Lions on August 31, 2008. He appeared in three games for the Lions before being waived on October 9 when the team signed fullback Moran Norris.

Thomas was then signed to the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys on December 17, 2008 and remained there through the end of the season.

Current status of Marcus; Signed to a future contract by the Cleveland Browns on January 7, 2009.
