Smile Your Thoughts on a High End Trade

I just completed a Big Trade.

    Here's what I gave up:
Bowman DP & S Magic Johnson Triple GU 1/1 No BV

08-09 Upper Deck Same Day Signatures OJ Mayo Rookie Auto (last one sold for $100), so BV about $200

    07-08 Trademark Moves Corey Maggette/Al Thornton/Javaris Crittenton /39 BV $30

    Here's what I get:
Upper Deck Premier Carmelo Anthony Patch/Auto 10/10 (no BV)

Flair Carmelo Anthony Rookie Auto BV $60

Upper Deck Chris Paul Star Signings Auto (No BV,very rare)

I don't think there is a huge advantage on either side, what do you guys think?

I think it was even to your advantage. You got the rare autos and two were on card. Oh I am not sold on Mayo like everyone else either. He has to start playing better D like almost all the rookies this year to be great. He can score but so can alot of other players in the league. Defense separates the greats of the game compared to the multi-time all-star. Melo started adding different aspects to his game this year finally.

Thats exactly what I thought. Melo has already proven to be a multi-time all star, which is what Mayo will turn out to be at best. I also got a nice, on-card Chris Paul auto which I've been searching for forever. Thanks for you thoughts Thomas.

Not a bad trade. I like the Magic 1/1 as well... I guess he just looks so happy in that picture...

But yeah... I think it's nice to be able to trade a prospect for an established star, because you never know what might happen to the prospect *cough* jay williams *cough* This is why I have hesitated on buying or even trading for Derrick Rose for now...I think his values will be coming down during the summer at least.

the paul is a sticker. all cards in that set are.

in the end i think the melo's and Paul are slightly better. The Magic to me is a junk card, just stupid to number it 1/1. but the Mayo is quite nice. Its UD's version of the Photoshoot and we all know how much these go for.
