Sources: Suns willing to trade anyone except Nash

Perhaps signaling a willingness to dismantle their roster, the Phoenix Suns have begun exchanging trade proposals with teams for All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire, league executives told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday.

With dysfunction and dissension reigning within the Suns, rival front-office executives believe general manager Steve Kerr is determined to move Stoudemire and others before the Feb. 19 trade deadline.

While Stoudemire, 26, is the Suns’ most valuable asset, sources say Kerr has told teams that he’s willing to trade anyone on his roster except for point guard Steve Nash.

Why would they trade their young PF and keep their older PG? I would think it'd be the other way around...regardless, it'd be a big trade if they trade either of them away.

Because Amare doesn't fit the Kerr mold. He doesn't play D well enough.

Steve Kerr...what are you thinking? Nash should be the one on the trading block given his age and subpar defense.

Well I don't agree with the move but that is why they traded for Shaq, his D.

Speaking from a Bulls standpoint, we'll give you Hinrich and Nocioni, and we'll take Amare off your hands :)....Hows that sound?

steve nash had 15pts 21 assists tonight, he's got alot of game left. i think they shouldn't have traded for shaq to begin with.

Steve Kerr made some horrible moves in the past and now he is trying to make up for it by trading away the future of the franchise?

He should keep the team the way it is until they can get a nice replacement for Nash

Nash showing last night why the Suns should stay together with 21 assists. Nice game by him.
