I disagree I think old school players playing in todays game wouldn't score as much, basketball is more popular now and the talent pool is greater as well. Just my opinion but I don't see Wilt scoring 60-70 a game. What made him unstoppable was few people could compete with his size and strength, I just don't see anyone averaging 60-70 a game ever again. Heck in my opinion Lebron and Kobe could average 50 a game back when Wilt and Russell played not the other way around.

I still don't think it matters, I think the overall competition is so much better these days. Sure there are more teams, but now the NBA is not just nationally its world wide, with the best of the best from all over the world.

I see your point but I think the amount of expansion is a big deal. 6 teams to 29. Big dilution in talent. If you had six teams nowadays. There would be 3-4 superstars on ever team. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Lebron just plays for stats really. I was listening to his interview after the game and he said that a teammate told him that he was very close to getting a triple double and that's when he tried to achieve the accomplishment. It shouldn't matter to the players about their numbers, just as long as they get the win.

You can tell he tries to "pad" his numbers as much as possible.

if the league really cares about getting it right i guess phoenix will have a championship trophy coming there way and most of the games played in recent years will be overturned.

So, what are you saying? He should just stand around and NOT try to rebound, or dish assists, or score?

He should just score like 20 points, get two or three rebounds, dish a few assists, and just stand around for the rest of the night?

LOL, that's a rediculous comment you made.

Let me explain. I have a bias against Lebron because of the comparison to MJ. Lebron is nowhere near as atheltically gifted as Michael was. Anywho, i've seen in many cases Le-god (seriously, his you-know-what must get really tired from you tugging on it ) pass up an easy kick out for a wide open three and drive into the lane all willy nilly and get fouled, while trying to throw up crazy shots and make "MJ" type plays.

Maybe im wrong. I dont know.
