You know what I was basing my opion on how much I paid for my Bowman boxes when they first came out. Bowman is now overpriced. Go SPA before it gets overpirced.

Well I haven't opened a ton of 08-09 stuff but I was happy with the two boxes of Hardwood I had...the big hits were a Billups auto #/5, a Spencer Haywood Auto #/39, A Courtney Lee RC #/1 (yes, 1/1 ebony), gasol #/15, etc
Outside of that I opened a case of Topps Chrome and was very disappointed with Topps Chrome centering issues plus not a single RC refractor in the whole case! I thought maybe they didn't do RC refractors this year...well, wrong! Plus the BVs of the case hits (YQ autos) came out suprisingly low...so Topps Chrome has potential centering issues and certainly correlation problems!
I opened some Bowman but hate the fact that Bowman and Bowman Chrome are in the same pack. Bowman is doing GU again this year but I think the Hardwood GU are nicer looking...
I opened some Spx and loved the look and feel of those new cards but only a few packs so I can't really judge it...I hit an auto on my 2nd pack and stopped (Al Thornton - Mr. A.T. #12)
Same for SP Authentic...on my first pack I pulled an auto patch and stopped...
I guess I like Hardwood because I am a set collector and now knowing that there are 2 versions of each RC it makes it even that much more enticing for me...Plus Topps made only 688 cases, right? The price for me at the local hobby shop (if he still has any) is about $120....online its about $95, ebay auctions maybe $85-90, if you are lucky!
I think the design is clean and the parallels offer a lot of chances for non-base PC or trading fodder...
When I have somw more money to spend on this stuff I plan on doing some more research...this 08-09 class is too crazy to pass on!
