lol today on wingnut news they had a guy wearing nothing but a thong try to rob a hotel with a knife and then the guy at the counter pulled out a pistol and the guy with the knife ran out, the cops unfortunately got there and the man couldnt give a description due to the distraction of the thong, 2 days later he came back (fully dressed) and apologized for not turning him in, then the guy at the counter held up the pistol and called the cops again, the man ran again but this time the guy at the counter got a good description so the man was arrested next day

Laws like that were passed because people were abusing 911 services. In areas that don't have these laws, people call 911 for EVERYTHING - directions, store hours, cooking advice... ridiculous.

Today in my journalism class i had to write about article about almost the same thing.
Well here is the class exercise i had to write(True Story):
ESCONDIDO: A 35-year-old woman wants the seller of her rabbit arrested, according to police.
The woman called the police to report that her rabbit's ears weren't floppy. She said the newspaper ad promised floppy ears and when she recieved the rabbit, the ears weren't floppy. She asked the seller be arrested. "While officers and staff are dealing with these frivolous matters, they are not with genuine emergency calls," Police Alan Stewart said.
