Recommend: A Nice patch set to collect???
G'day Guys
Im a big fan of Patch cards and have never put together a set before so thought i'd put this question out to the SCF Society:
What would be a good patch set to collect/build?
A few things to consider would be:
-Reasonable costs (no super highend such as exquiste etc)
-Decent Variety of Players
-Appealing
-Available (Cards which are still floating around today)
-Have Paul Pierce =]
Feel free to drop a comment on what you recommend (If possible a scan of the set you are talking about would be great)
Thanks!
Cheers,
Daniel.

Any of the Ultimate Premium Patches are nice, but the rookie cards and stars sell for quite a bit...UD Premier tends to have nice patches at reasonable prices

try 06-07 Fleer E-X Clearly Authentic patches....they're all numbered to 75 have a descent variety of players and can be had for pretty cheap, even the high end players

07-08 Topps Bowman Elevation patches. Even the low number ones only sell for $30-40 USD

Thanks for all the input guys!
I've been having a little think and search through ebay for some nice patch sets so far and Ultimate Collection has really been a huge standout!
But instead of the super popular Premium Patch's,
im more leaning towards 06/07 Ultimate "Ultimate Combo's" #/25.

(pic not mine, from ebay listing)
Nice looking set, decent variety of Players (Pierce, most expensive would be Lebron/MJ Dual)
low print run.
What are your thoughts on this set?
Do you think it may be achievable,
there are around 6 of the 40 floating around ebay atm.
Will give it a think!
