I ran up and down the stairs for hours a day during summer (I had nothing better to do) and leg weight lifting and now I can jump 27 inches and i'm 13 :)

P.S.: I wouldn't be surprised if I was a natural jumper or whatever becasue I don't know how I made progress this fast.

best program there is for me is air alert. nba players use it its great. the testimonials are real you will dunk! depending on height and dedication to the program but air alert is the reason im throwin down right now. give it a shot its not expensive, like 30-40 bucks and you dont even need weights to do it just a chair for one of the exercises. this program will work, i thought all the testimonials were bs but air alert is legit. i know i sound like an infomercial haha.

    Thanks everyone!

I have a question... If I jump rope with ankle weights would that help increase my vertical? Or is it too dangerous to jump with ankle weights?

You don't need to buy special shoes or training dvd's. Just do basic plyometrics and weightlifting. My favorite exercises are the boxes and jump squats. I added about an inch every 1-2 weeks. My standing vertical maxed out at 39". I bought those Strength training shoes and used them for 6 months. My foot speed and cuts got faster but no change in vertical really. Also recommend getting to under 10% bodyfat toward the end of your program. Good luck.
