no because he padded his rebounds by missing the dunk

LOL. I may like CP3, but I like all-around performance much better than points scored. If the stats were reversed with Kobe and CP3, I would have said Kobe should have been the MVP. To much is made about scoring in the NBA. Complete players should be celebrated more. My thoughts. Just to let you know, CP3 took 13 less shots than Kobe and had about the same percent from the field. Next time let him sling about 27 shots up and he will have around the same amount of points as Kobe. BOOOOO. NBA.

Shaq only played 10 minutes and had 8-9 17 points and 5 boards--He did deserve it and I'm not a Shaq fan

Paul had about 5 of his assists during the last few minutes when he was throwing lobs for dunks when they quit playing defense---And he missed the half court three at the end of regulation, that also cost him

No I am not bias. I have said if the stats were reversed, I would say Kobe should have won. I think Kobe is a great of the game. I just wish people would place more emphasis on playing all phases, not scoring and hype.

drtom - You also have to consider the fact that Chris Paul wouldn’t have had that many assist if it weren’t Shaq and Kobe converting on their shots.

For me, an All-Star MVP is a combination stats and entertainment, it’s all about the show you put on, and Shaq and Kobe simply put on the better show. Chris Paul’s double-double was impressive, but it was a very quit double-double, and it’s something you don’t really notice until you look at the stat sheet at the end of the game.

I think that is fine but I did not even hear him in the discussion. He should at least get that.

i got to agree with jeesbus86 its a allstar game its not a stat game. if kobe did a 720 twice in all star game and only scored 4 pts he probaly will get it. lol

CP3 had a near triple double in the ALL STAR GAME. All GREAT PLAYERS. That is a feat in itself! IMO, he should've gotten the MVP, but congrats to Shaq and Kobe.
