    When in Charlotte...

Some of you already know but others dont so...

I have begged for three years to go to the Brian Vickers fanclub party but have always gotten a no. I dont know how or why (and I really dont care how/why) but mom & dad said YES. Sooo October 16th we'll be in Charlotte..me, Shayne, and dad. Its gonna be the BEST!!!

I have to pay for everything but dad surprised me yesterday and said we could leave a day early and he'd pay to stay that night so we could visit some race shops!!!

Soo I'm already planning our trip. Of course, the Red Bull shop will be our very first stop! Others nearby that we'll go to are Roush Fenway, Braun Racing (anyone have an address for this one??), and Gibbs for sure.
At the bottom of the list are Michael Waltrip Raceworld USA and Richard Petty Motorsports. If we dont get to the last two then I'm not fonna worry about it.

Before returning home on the 17th we're gonna go up to Thomasville to the Brian Vickers fanclub shop. I really, really want to see all his championship stuff!!

Other than what I've listed, is there anything else in/around Charlotte that we should check out? I'm open to adding anything to the schedule. We'll only be there for like 2 days (3 if you count the first part of Saturday) but I plan on fitting as much as I can into those two days!

Its MY trip so I'm planning everything. Shayne and dad dont really have a say in it...LOL.

If your doing team shops, you have to go to Hendrick. They have far and away the nicest showroom/store.

RCR is also very nice, and if you go to MWR, make sure you take the tour if they have it going on.

I didnt know it was next to the high school he went to! Thats awesome! I'll be at the Speedway during the fanclub party. They've had it at the Red Bull Energy Station (on backstrech) the last couple years so I assume thats where its gonna be this year too.

We dont really care about goin to Hendrick so its way way down on the list..but if we have time and need somethin to do, we'll go. I'll get directions just in case. lol I'll definately see about the MWR tour! RCR will be on the way to the fanclub (I think) so I may have to fit that in too!

    Thanks for the suggestions! :)

You know that they have some Vickers stuff still at Hendrick in the museum, right?

BTW, I hate to say it, but Red Bull really doesn't have much at the shop. Just a little tiny store and a window to look into the main floor. BUT, they do have FREE Red Bull, which makes it awesome!

Well, in that case we just might have to make a stop!!!

I know. :) They completed it last year. I'm mostly looking forward to going to the store. They dont sell much online (just a few shirts and hats) and have WAY more at the shop and races. I'm in need of more 83 stuff!!! Free Red Bull...YES!

Definitely do the MWR tour, worth it for any race fan just because it is so detailed and thorough from any team point of view.
