Buy a scale and know exactly how much postage you need.

Yeah thats really bothersome, and shows a lack proper trading etiquette. If one is not 100% certain the postage is correct, why the heck would you send it? They should be going to the post office then and mailing them that way.

Some people really are sure it's enough, but they turn out wrong. Honest mistakes happen.

First off just remember sometimes the postal clerk is the one that can do this wrong as well. So even if you go that route mistakes happen.

    Ken,
As you say you should never have 5 as you said happened to you. Hopefully, your trading partners will see the errors of their ways and rectify this situation with you as well. I yet to ever have one of these in all my years of trading (Famous Last Words). Now I am sure I will see one.

For the last year I've been using Stamps.com. Very easy to use and saves money over going to the post office. Thanks for everyone's comments, just needed to vent and hopefully make the trading community a little more aware and conscious. -Ken

this is why i rarely mail with stamps, if i do its because i didnt have a car/liscence which i do now...

doing it at the post office while it might take more time, is the safer route
