    NBA: No Benjamins Association

Long read, but Simmons typically know what he's talking about. NBA losing money; potential lockout in 2011; and more about the future of the NBA.

There was a chance at a lockout 2 or 3 years ago, but they came to terms on a deal a few weeks prior to the deadline - I don't think they'd allow a lockout to happen again - especially not after the fan loss following the lockout in 1999.

    Definately a good read.

Although, the columnist seems to be reaching for straws by the repeated use of "Hijack City" instead of Oklahoma City. The city of Seattle, had every oppurtunity to keep the team there...but the lack of fan support, and more importantly the lack of financial responsibility from the team owners speeded up the process of the teams move to Oklahoma City. And liek he mentioned in teh column...attendance is down all across the league. But in Oklahoma City...its 18,000 fans rockin the house every game.
