I got Art Mahaffey and Bobby Shantz at a card shop. I sent out to Cal McLish on the 27th of March and got him back today, so now I'm off to Rick Wise.

Maybe I'll have to start another thread. I had two awesome returns today. Carlos Ruiz sent back my Sports Illustrated, and Chris Coste signed my 2007 NL East Celebration Photo. I also have a 2008 celebration photo that I'll be getting signed tonight by Scott Eyre, who is making a local appearance. That will be 9 of the 25 guys on the roster, as I already have Hamels, Moyer, Jenkins, Happ, Werth, Madson, Romero and Coste. I'll try to get off my rear and post some pics in my bucket.

Nice successes. I got Ruiz IP at clearwater and TTM this spring. I also got one back from eaton. Coste IP as well.

I going to try a few this summer on cards first. Wait till next ST for IP of some of the tougher ones.

I have heard that Hamels had been good the last 2 seasons, but Im sure he is bombarded with requests after last seasons success. Im still focused on coaches around the league and have some good ones out. Check out my mailings thread if you are interested.

I just got Rick Wise back today after only 7 days. He signed my photo in Silver sharpie with his all-star years as requested. I included a 10 dollar check. Up next is Roy Sievers.
I sent permission letters out to Ed Roebuck(March 9th), Danny Cater(April 3rd) and Jack Baldschun(today), and am waiting on replies to see who I'll be sending to after Sievers,

What is the tally on that photo that you have? This sounds like a great project and a piece to cherish!

    Great work

Thanks Pete. I'm doing pretty well, I've got Wise, Shantz, Mahaffey, McLish and just received Roy Sievers back yesterday. Danny Cater returned my letter the other day, so I'm mailing him tomorrow. Here's a link to the picture of how it looks thus far:

very cool! are you including the sharpies with the letter or are they just very courteous guys that are signing where it shows up best?

I got a few cards back from players whom will go nameless here that have signed in ball point pen on a baseball card! It looks horrible and wonder if I should send back to them and include a sharpie??? Maybe they will get the hint and not ruin anyone elses cards!

Im kidding of course, I am "asking" for an autograph and time out of their lives for a hobby. I would not really be that rude but thought it may be a nice gesture.

By the way, I got Dallas Green IP at spring training. You may want to try c/o the team or maybe he does a signing in the area? Its worth a shot...

He's got a signing in Bucks County in two weeks that I'll probably go to. Bake McBride, Marty Bystrom, Bob Boone and Luzinski are going to be there too.
I usually send a sharpie along with the photo.
