Haha my bad...I'm just getting back into the hobby and I remembered this thread. Rondo really is a key part to the team. There is no way he resigns before the deadline, but at least he is a restricted free agent so the Cs can match any offers on him.

C's would be dumb not to match any offers on him...players like him don't come around too often...Pierce and Allen will both be FA's too, but I think Rondo is a priority, and the other 2 will sign for cheaper, if necessary...KG already signed for far cheaper, so I'm sure those 2 would do it as well, especially if they are contending for the title this year (and I don't see how they wouldn't be).

If the Celtics stay healthy, I think this is their season. They have looked absolutely dominant so far, and their bench has really improved.

Idk I think they might sign him, the deadline was extended to Monday..So that gives them a couple more days. I think they'll finalize tonight and announce it tomorrow before the game.

Well Allen will be a FA this summer, but Pierce wont opt out of his deal. At this point in his career a few extra bucks means nothing. Rondo is a priority and Ray will resign cheaper hopefully.

Pierce already said he won't resign until the C's show him they aren't going to dismantle. He said he's been on an 18 win team and he doesn't want to be on another so the C's have to show him they want to keep on competing while he's still there.

Big win tonight! The Cs looked a little rough going into the 4th quarter, but managed to pull it out. Pierce was clutch as usual and the Celtics won a game that they really did not play well in.
Im now watching the Hawks-Lakers and Joe Johnson has 14 points in 8 minutes against Kobe-not much on Pierces 20 in the first half tonight though.

C's signed Rondo today, 5 years about $55 million.

Huge signing! This'll be great for years to come...now just resign Pierce and Allen, and we'll be contending for at least 2 more seasons.
