    Ty Cobb's batboy: Jimmy Lanier

    I know he is getting up there in years...has anyone tried to write to him? All I know is he lives (or lived) outside of Atlanta in Buckhead, GA.

    i have not heard of him until today, but have never seen anything TTM related about him...

    i researched him, and it's a pretty cool story.

    I read up on Jimmy Lanier and it is a pretty interesting story, and what he has been through. In one of the interviews with him it says he lives outside Atlanta, GA. I did a little research and came across this address. It could very well be the Jimmy Lanier you are looking for, but i don't know for sure.

    I appreciate the help. I saw that addy at one point as well but I was hoping to find a birthdate associated with it. I'll know it is the one when I see a birthdate of early 1900's. I talked to the head of the Ty Cobb museum in GA and he said Jimmy is in pretty bad shape now, so I'll probably not pursue this. Thanks
