    What is a card Show

    What is a card show and do they cost money to attend...Is there tradeing involved like should i go with my book of cards in hand..just what are some tips on how to get good deals and not get ripped

    not really for trading. it is a room with tables set-up with different dealers that display and sell there cards as well as packs and boxes. some charge fees but its very small usually about 5 bucks. there a lot of fun to go to.

    What would be a good amount of money to take..Im looking to get some nice pickups for my new basketball collection...Do they sell cheaper then ebay or should i just shop ebay??

    depends on the size of the show. since theres a lot of competition prices may be lower. i always find good prices on boxes. when you buy in bulk its cheaper. you will also see a lot of $1 and $5 bins with nice stuff!

    One more thing...Im VERY new to basketball sport/Tradeing/Buying...for years i did football and i would be very comfertable knowing prices for players in football.....

    should i be in the game of buying/tradeing baketball cards and learne players and stuff befor i jump into a show and try to buy a

    Its rare that you would get a good deal at a card show. Your better off getting a better deal off the internet.

    havent been two one in about 5 years actualy that brings up a good ? anyone have a good place to look for info on upcoming card shows? anyway i did get good deals and they were a blast.

    I've never been to a show. Do all my buying on the Bay.

    I'd love to attend a big show once just to check it out.
