So about half an hour ago somebody posted up the Chris Nilan Habs Inks SP on the Bay for $40. Being clever and cheap, I put in a best offer for just a little below that. The seller has since pulled the listing and re-listed it at $120.

Epic fail!

You think thats a fail, I passed an opportunity for a Foligno Ice RC #01/99 for $40 (prior to my knowledge about how rare those were...)

Ouch. That's almost as bad as when you forget about auction end times on rare cards you want for your PC. (Something I've got a bad habit of doing).

Let a Ranford Patch / Auto #/10 slip away from me a couple of months ago, becuase I forgot to log in and bid before the auction ended. If I'd just thrown a $100 bid down, no one would have beat me..... but I likely would have paid $20 more for the card than waiting for the last minute to bid (that's always my theory, anyway).

Yeah I've done that a couple times too and missed out on some very nice Gorges stuff. I could've had a Hot Prospects White Hot /5, but nooooo, I fell asleep!

I've done the same thing before waiting until the last minute to bid and then forgetting. The worst is getting snipped though at the last possible second!

It is in a sense, yeah. Unfortunately for us, UD doesn't list a print run on it, just says SP, so naturally people assume it's got to be worth the sun and the moon.
