Send them the receipt that you got from the post office. If you don't have any proof that you sent the card then you won't be able to win the case.

Ever consider the chance that he actually didnt recieve the card(s)?... Just a thought... but yeah Ive had simular experiences before, it sucks I know the feeling... I gave up using paypal for a while because of it... In the end ultimately if you dont have DC # or some sort of tracking # your gonna pay for it... No ifs ands or buts about it, you pay!
Its kinda like when you were little and you were always told you break you buy... well now theres no breaking involved its just buying... lmao oh wait its maybe not really like that...

You said that you used DC.
Do you have the PO receipt that shows the DC # or the DC label, that is returned to you when you purchase DC at the PO? Or did you purchase it through paypal?
To reply to a paypal claim:
You must go into disputed claims and there will be an area for you to reply in. An email is also sent to you, whenever there is an update by you, the buyer and paypal.
A word of advice: always use DC, no matter how big or small the deal is, when accepting paypal, it is a requirement (if you ever have a claim against you) and it was part of the agreement you signed up for, when you enrolled in paypal.
Hope it works out for you.

Yup, that's pretty much how it goes with paypal, you live and you learn.
Just make sure you use DC next time a payment comes through from paypal.
