    Auto show pickups

As i said earlier in a previous post, I was going to Cleveland today to go for NASCAR day at the C-land Auto Show.

the trip was over three hours long and I just got out of the car when bad news appeared when I waked in:

Colin Braun was not going to be at the show today.

OK...I didn't have anything him to sign, so that's a wash. But the others did show up as expected, with Eric Darnell to be Braun's replacement.

You had to feel bad for Eric; last minute replacement, no big pieces to sign (other than two tires that were going around the floor), shoot, he even only had a stack of heroes cards half the amount of AJ's. But he was a trooper and signed a hero card for me:

Then I got Matt's auto on this '06 TC Dewalt:

Then off to AJ's booth. I know, I shoud've went to Clint, but (1) I've already had him on a diecast, (2) I had more $$$ into AJ's car than Clint's, and (3) I didn't have to backtrack around the show for AJ.

He signed two things for me:

Then I went to Clint's booth. He remembered me from the Dayton Auto Show in '06 (the silver Sharpie) thanked me for coming back to see him, and signed this beauty...apologies for the bad lighting...it looks 100x times better in person.

I also got two packs of the Dodge Challenger set from the Auto Show. Both are the same packs though...(9-16) very popular package for me...old school cardboard AND gum. I gotta get a set off Ebay. If anyone wants either of my packages (both are opened--didn't know that they were the same set) LMK.

    I can't wait for Sunday!

The turnout wasn't too bad; I left after I got done with Bowyer; it was about 5:45 when i got to my car. The comments I heard the most today was:

"I can't believe this many people showed up for Kenseth after he was here last year." (winning the 500 will do that for a driver)

"Where did you get that DirecTV car?"

and..."I didn't even know that AJ had cards, let alone diecast!!!"

But fair warning Jeremy: Get there VERY early for Sunday!!! I got a feeling it will be packed to the gills.

Haha....were the drivers close by, or were they scattered? I'm hoping they put Mo by the other guys, but I get a feeling that they'll be on opposite sides of the IX center, lol.

I plan on getting there around 11. Mo starts at 2, and the other guys are at 3....I figure if I get there around 11, I should be good.

Very nice items. I wish they would do something like that close to here.
