Need Some Help
When I write to a player do I ask him to sign the card? Or do I just put a card in an envelope?

you definately need to write a letter. for current players i suggest something short and simple. for former players i think its ok to write a little more as they may have more time to read the letter. here is an example of my short and simple letter.
Dear ______ ,
I hope you're having a good day. I am a big fan of yours and I would be honored if you would sign this _____ for my personal collection. Thanks

yeah i would definately ask them to sign the card. sometimes i send a couple of cards and tell them they can keep one. i think this helps with some people. i am currently working on getting about 500+ nfl players ready to send off when training camp starts.
