I'm not new, but it has been a while...

After a long time away, I am back. I have spent a long time dealing with some health and family issues. And while neither is totally settled, both are headed in the right direction.

For those of you who do not know me, here is a little breakdown of who I am and what I do:

1. My name is Evan. I have been in the sports card business since March of 2005. I live in Miami, Florida. I deal in everything and anything. I do this because I enjoy it, and it pays the bills.

2. This is a business for me. I respect and appreciate it as a hobby, and from time to time, I do pick up PC pieces. Please do not be offended by anything I do. I will do my best not to take offense at anything you do.
Please understand, I can not buy a card for it's market value. If I do, I do not have an opportunity to make money, and therefor, I will not be able to pay my bills. Just the same, I do not expect or demand that you sell me your cards. I would very much like to buy your cards if I can make money on them, and you can be happy selling them. I do not want to do a deal where either one of us will not be happy. I will NEVER be offended by you saying "no." If you do not want to sell your cards for less than market value, please do not ask me to buy them. If you do, I am usually able to spend for one card, or an entire collection. Money is rarely an issue for me if the deal is right. I can spend big money, and I can pay quickly. And I buy based on current market values.

3. When I buy or sell, I will NEVER send first to ANYONE under ANY circumstances. I have been burned too many times (Most recently for $15,000). If you have concerns about me, I will be happy to use a moderator as a middle man in a deal. If it is a purchase, I expect to be paid before I mail the card(s). If I am buying, I will pay first via PayPal ONLY. If you want cash, a check or a MO, I will be happy to send you one, but I will not send it until I have received the cards.

4. I like you! I hope you like me too! I am actually a very nice guy (At least my mother thinks so). I am not too difficult to get along with. The only thing I take personal is something made personal. I will never take a personal shot at you for not agreeing with me. I would appreciate the same in return.

5. I am always happy to trade. I will trade one sport for another. I will trade one card for 10. I will trade 10 cards for 1. It all just depends on the specific trade. To be honest, I do prefer to sell, but trading is often a good option.

6. I am happy to check your bucket. I actually like seeing scans of whatever it is I am dealing with. It helps me ensure that I am getting the card I think I am getting.

7. I know some of the people who have been here for a while, including the site owner and the guy who used to run the site. I look forward to talking to and dealing with those of you I know, as well as all of you that I do not know.

8. I am going to start working on updating my bucket next week. I have some of the stuff in there now, but I do not have all of it. Most of what I have is not in my bucket though.

9. My eBay account was unfortunately destroyed when I allowed a colleague to share it with me. I just started a new one. It sucks to have to start over after all that work, but such is life.

10. I am sorry that I wrote all of this and you obviously were intrigued enough to read 10 bullet points about me and what I do. I will do my best to keep the rest of my posts more interesting than this. I just figured I would reintroduce myself after a long time away. Thanks for taking the time to read my long-winded post. I am going to shut up now...
