How Topps SCREWED me!

Ok, I am going to rant, sorry. Maybe it is just me but I believe I have been totally had by Topps. I was very excited when I pulled a redemption card out of 08/09 Cosigners for a McGrady/Carmelo Anthony Dual Platinum Parallel Auto, which I take to be a 1/1 because of the platinum. I sent it in about a month ago and today in the mail I get a letter saying that they cannot obtain the exact card, so they sub in a 08/09 Dwyane Wade auto out of Topps Finest. Which is a great card, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it has close to the same value. I would love other peoples input on this. Usually Topps is good about taking care of people buying their cards.

i would feel the same way. you should get what they said. and auto dual carmelo and mcgrady. and they send you the wade auto which isnt to bad but still you should get what you sent in for

These redemptions are thorns in the sides of collectors. Topps probably had a deal with Melo and T-Mac for the signing, but one or both had a more pressing appointment, or for whatever reason did not / could not make it to the signing. With the number of redemption cards so high, this is happening more and more. It sucks, but I have to tell you that replacement is a lot better than some of the others I've seen. I'd love to see a scan of it.
