Upperdeck tricks
Just to update everyone upper deck is up to its same old tricks again. I called to see what was being done because it has been two weeks and I was told once I faxed them My claim form I should notice a change in my redemption status online with in a week. They told me some story about there servers being down and That I should check back in an hour or two and it will be done. Well I checked 4 hours later and then I just checked again 24 hours later. And well guess what Nothing has changed. So I will be calling again on my lunch break and hopefully something will be done. What ever happened to customer service people like Barry. I delt with him a few times and he was great. They should have made him a manager or head of customer service and then maybe they would be able to hire more like him or at least have him train the new people.
In any case regardless of what is done I will be starting a face book page for all those that are fed up with upper deck. I will also be posting on that page a petition asking for something to be done about their customer service practices. Not that this will change anything but at the very least it will be a place for people to vent their much needed anger and frustration with upper deck. If any of you wana know when the site is up and running let me know

Yeah Upper Deck can be frustrating at times, but in all fairness maybe they are actually having technical issues. This seems kind of trivial compared to some of the other things that could have happened to you, venting frustration is fine but please don't swear while doing it.

Sorry
I see your point and I appoligise for the swearing. But the above comments I have made are not based on the above comments alone. They are based on a long standing frustration that all collectors have had including my self. Check my other post called a note to upper deck. The differentce between me and most collectors are I wont simple leave things as is. Weather it is a 1 dollar card or a 5000 dollar card. It not about the value of the card , its about the principle. I paid for something that should have in hand. I understand waiting a few weeks but **** 2 yrs. WHAT THE ----------

That's the price we pay when UD has a monopoly over the NHL license, they do whatever they choose knowing that if we want licensed cards and rookies we have no choice but to buy their products. If ITG can get their hands on a license any time soon look out...

I called a little bit ago and they suggested calling in half an hour. Its not like they run a tight ship up there, so i would expect there to be server problems sometimes.

I agree
I agree but. I all goes back to customer service. Or lack of. if your servers down cool. But dont tell me to call back and then not have it up. Or at least if you say 1 hour then maybe possible i coudl under stand 3 or 4. Small delays ext. ext. But 24 hours later. Unaceptable. almost as bad as my spelling and grammer.

Would it help to forward complaints to the NHL and NHLPA? Seems if they knew this was going on they might look at other options when the current contract is up. I would bet that several thousand fans could make quite an impact.

I called UD today twice. The redemption system is still down. My guess is that they have a database of redemption cards, and its maintained in MS Access or some lousy setup like that. When they have a problem, its down for longer than a couple hours. At first the woman was going to suggest I call back later, but she said tomorrow may be a better idea.
