I made this one for Balfour. I hope he signs it for me (and you!)

So, I just got back from the Rockies-Rays game. What a surreal experience! I got there a couple of hours early to see BP and Sonnanstine was down there throwing long toss with Niemann. (If any of you have followed my posts at all, you know by now that he's been my favorite player and a fan of the cards I've sent him in the past.) I shouted out to him and he turned and kind of waved me off at first. Then, I yelled out my name to him and he spun around with a loud "No S**t!" and trotted over to the wall. He gave me a dude-hug and we talked for a couple of minutes before he said he had to go shag balls. He said he appreciated the cards I've made and signed a new one for me. We talked about Coors Field, his season, custom cards, etc. I'm normally a very confident person when I'm speaking with someone, but I have to admit I was a bit starstruck. I think I came across more like Chris Farley on "The Chris Farley Show" back when he'd do that bit on SNL. My wife took this pic of us:

I'm going to the game tomorrow as well with my son. he said he'd love to meet him. Andy couldn't have been cooler and the whole experience was amazing. He gave me another dude-hug and ran out to throw again. It was a great night all around. Evan homered. CC homered. Tulo homered. Iannetta homered. Price pitched. I was in row 2 right next to the photographer's well on the 3rd base side. I got some great pics that I'll post soon.

Did you tall Andy that you were the one that sent him all the customs?

Very cool and congrats on your success. It must have been a great experience for you. I always wondered if players would appreciate a custom card more than a regular card. I think it shows the player that your request is truly for "your hobby" than ebay.
