    New to SCF

    Hi everyone, my name is Mikael and I'm just getting back into the hockey card collecting hobby again after a 10 year break or so. I'm from Sweden but I currently live in Los Angeles where I study.

    When I collected hockey cards 10 years ago or so I mainly collected Steve Yzerman cards. I've always been really into all different kinds of sport but Stevie Y is the reason for me being a huge fan of the NHL and the Red Wings. Since 1990 when I saw Yzerman play the WC making 20 points in 10 games, I've been a hard core Red Wings fan.

    My goal now when I'm taking up the hockey card collecting again is to slowly improve my Yzerman collection but I've also started to collect Zetterberg cards. I love Zetterberg since he reminds me a lot of Yzerman. Since I'm a student now my budget is pretty limited so my first focus will be to build up a nice Zetterberg collection.
    I’ve also started a small side project collecting Loui Eriksson cards since I like him as a player and he’s from my hometown in Sweden.

    That's a little about me.
    I've looked around here for a week or so now and this place seems like a really nice one with a lot of great people.

    Thanks a lot everybody for the warm welcome! alpinemedic, great to see another Yzerman collector here. My Yzerman collection is home in Sweden right now and I haven't looked at it for a looooong time so I don't know how big it is but to compared to yours it's pretty modest :) But yeah, hopefully we can make som trades. I will go home to Sweden this summer and I will for sure bring my Yzerman collection back with me when I return to the US.

    Once again.. a big thanks to everyone for welcoming me!
