Few interesting cards from 2004 Topps Draft Picks & Prospects, and error card??

Well for $50 for the box not too bad.

Got a base Eli Manning card ($10 bv)
and Phillip Rivers base card ($8 bv)

    Gold Steven Jackson ($30 bv)

Michael Jenkins/ Eddie George Dual Relics 73/199 ($20 bv)

Also got a LaVar Arrington card that says "rookie" on it (not the Topps Draft Picks and Rookies stamp, but under it has "rookie") obviously this isn't his rookie card so does anyone know if this is a corrected error?

That is his RC. Arrington hasnt ever given permision for anyone to use his likeness until this year, He wasnt in Madden football or on any cards. A few early edition cards made it out (press pass, Sage) His rookie year but not to many, There is a complete article about him in this months FB beckett.

    See ryanhnc10's Items on eBay

the reason why only a few cards of him were produced was because lavar arrington opted to stay out of the nfl union. therefore, the only rc they have of him is before the draft where afterwards he would sign with the union. that is also why on video games he is either left out or only his number shows up and not a picture or his actual name, hope that helps

    Thanks guys

    thanks for the info guys.

I forgot that he had never had any officially liscensed cards produced.

Prophet- yep got the hobby box for $50 on Ebay. Not a bad box break, even though was a little suprised at the low book value for the George/Jenkins card with odds being 1:826 packs. Guess if Jenkins has a solid rookie year it has good potential to go up.

Do you all think this is a good set to try to buy multiple boxes of? Between this one and a 10 pack box I bought at Target I have the above cards and a threesome of Chris Perry cards (base, chrome, and gold)

If you are intending to just have some fun by going for the base set id say go for it... If you search well enough around ebay or other bidding sites you should also find a bigger lot of those cards to help your causes as well..

If you want the gold chrome and regular then I would probly suggest waiting on it unless you have the $$ to back it up as the gold rookies are going for at least 20+ for some of the better ones and the eli is probly closer to 40((just a guess))
