Dwyane Wade becomes Heat's all time leading scorer
MIAMI (AP) - No surprise here: Dwyane Wade is now, officially, the greatest scorer in Miami Heat history.
Wade passed his good friend and mentor Alonzo Mourning on Saturday to become the leading scorer in franchise history. Wade's dunk with 11:05 left in the third quarter against the Utah Jazz gave him 21 points for the game, and 9,460 in 380 career regular-season appearances.
Mourning, who played for the final time in December 2007, scored 9,459 points in 593 games with the Heat.

I recant my earlier statement. After last night's win against a West coast contender and his body of work on the season (including the Olympic team, although I know the voters don't take it into consideration), Wade should be considered alongside Lebron for MVP. If the Heat make the playoffs, then Wade should get MVP honors.

Congrats to D-Wade on being the all-time scorer in Heat History. I am a big Kobe Fan, but when you look at Kobe, Lebron, and D-Wade's supporting casts, you have to consider that if the MVP isn't a popularity contest and is what it should be, Dwayne Wade should be MVP this year.
