New To the Board
Hello my name is Greg, and I'm from Houston, Texas.
I just recently inherited of a rather large sports card collection and came across this Forum on a web search. I don’t particularly care for sports and would like to liquidate this, 100k plus, card collection. I would appreciate any help on where and how to get started, I have bought a few collector catalogs and price guides to help me, but considering I would rather they go to someone whom will appreciate them. I would prefer not to bother with EBay even though I have an extensive feedback of (950 +) rating there. I hope I didn't offend anyone with "the not a big fan of sports" comment, don't get me wrong I know of and are friends with certain sports figures and appreciate their work, I just think watching sweaty men running up and down a field chasing a piece of sports equipment to be one step away from a Freudian Slip. With any luck I will begin to catalog and list the cards I find in the price guides as I get time to do so and would appreciate a fair and accurate assessment of value as I don't know who all the rookies are or were.

Welcome to SCF.
The tough part is to know what you have, once this part is done you can have success depending on how good the prices you ask for are. The forum are organise by sport so make list by sport and post them in the right forum, you will get more visibility. Like I only collect hockey.
Base card is hard to sell and shipping is coslty. But if the collection is 100K you must have lots of high end and this, if the price is right should do good.

Greg,
Now sure but if your truly looking to move your collection this is a good place. Another option would be going to a large show in Houston. As you could get a table and try to move everything that way as well. That just a idea but to each their own. As you must have been to the collecting of sweaty pieces of equipment at one point. Best of luck on cataloging the cards and unloading it over time. As usually collections are very hard to move unless they are all rare pieces.
