French workers strike over economic crisis
Workers' unions launched 24 hours of strikes across France Thursday to pressure the government to do more to combat the economic downturn.
Workers from the public sector, schools, and the transportation sector walked off the job along with some air traffic controllers. That was affecting air travel, particularly domestic flights.
'Cuz that's the best way to help the economy, shut down commerce for a day...

Urgh. The results of a given action should always be considered, not just the process of making a statement. This strike "statement" won't help make the economy better.
