CIN: Bong (0-1, 10.80)
at
PHI: Milton (8-1, 4.28)
Hmmmm, a starter with a 10+ ERA….are the Reds that desperate on starting pitching?
CHC: Prior (0-1, 4.66)
at
HOU: Clemens (9-0, 2.08)
One is a Hall-of-Famer, creeping higher and higher on the wins chart.
The other couldn’t hold a multi-run lead in the 8th inning of game 6 of the NL championship at his home park, with the chance to lead his team to the World Series for the 1st time since about 1945.
But then again, Prior’s a USC Trojan, so what else do you expect??? :D
People are gushing left and right about Mark Prior (esp. the Cubbies fans); but if you can’t perform in the clutch, then you are worthless.
But, hey, the millions that Prior will steal from the Cubs will at least allow him to buy tickets into Cooperstown as many times as he wishes to go.
