Smile about 1996-97 Super Team Redemption Ref. by nbacardDOTnet

about 1996-97 Super Team Redemption Ref. by nbacardDOTnet

The reason why I post this thread, I saw joe johnson hawks's thread so I want to share this humble knowledge with not-knowing People.

    https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?p=5252133

I said it was from Redemption set..
(Furthermore, if someone sent Superteam card in 1996-97 Topps, there was possiblity to receive redemption set. not 100% gauranteed though)

    Of course, not each.

And Division Winning Team(non-refractor set) ,Conference Winning Team(refractor set) and Draft # 1 Team (another refractor set) cards are only avaiable to receive those set.
(Refractor set is boarderd or boardless.)

When I saw Super Team Card for the first time, I was really surprised.
(At that time, I was kid)

Because I calculate total set then I could assume total redemption would be 1,200$ or 1,500$ whatever..lol

But Super Team Bulls was dealt around 100$(BV was 100$ at that time) because it is nearly 100% to win Conference winning.

And another crazy card was Super Team of San Antonio.

    It was harder than Bulls.
(At least Bulls was Popular..right? )

Here is Superteam Cards gallery as reference.

Anyway , it was reasonable to buy Bulls Super Team as 100$ then to get Total Redemption set as 1,500$.

SO I considered to buy Bulls Super Team as Cash.

But It was really big deal if I buy that card as 100$.

For example, one of the most expensive card was MJ First Legacy and BV was 600$.

Can you Imagine? There was no Gem Green, No Game Used , no Ultimate, not EXQ.

But I fully watched back side of Super Team card then noticed. Topps Company didn't sent card to outside of US.

SO I really regretted because I thought I missed great chance.

Around a few month later, I read Beckett then I noticed.

But topps company was not without brain.

Value of Total Set of Ref. was 10% of Set.

If I were not wrong, Total Ref. set was around 1,200$ ~ 1,500$
    (not exact price though)

SO Set from redemption would be 120$ ~ 150$.

After that, I haven't believed Topps redemption.

Like that mechanism, look at last year super team.

Sombody wanted to sell Celtics and Pistons Superteam as 500$ or 250$.

    Then what happened ?
    (we know the answer..)

P.S. : Because of considered of exceeded of bandwidth of my PB, I didn't post any pictures.
    (now 95%...)
