    Obama's late night gaffe

Obama apologizes for Special Olympics comment

President Obama apologized Thursday night for an offhanded remark during his appearance on The Tonight Show that appeared disparaging toward Special Olympic athletes.

“No, no. I have been practicing,” Obama said. “I bowled a 129. It's like — it was like Special Olympics, or something."

I think that's funny...something I would say, only a little more politically correct...but probably not something the President should say on national television. Guess he didn't have his beloved teleprompter

It really doesnt bother me that he said it. I know what he meant.

But then again, he did pretty much say he bowls so bad he could compete in the Speical Olympics. Haha.

What DOES make me mad is that fact that I average between 115-135. So Obama thinks I'm handicapped now or something?!?! haha.

I was watching it last night and as soon as he said it I knew he would have to answer for it. That said, I found it funny. The whole interview was a joy to watch. He is a pretty funny guy.

I may be getting worked up over nothing but how about he steps up and acts like a president.... we have an economy crumbling... a stock market down 50 percent, nearing 10 percent unemployment and he is going on a late night comedy show... are you kidding me? Is this the change everyone really wanted? How about you fire all your tax cheating buddies and get some people in who know how to run the economy... and come through on at least ONE of your campaign promises

I agree. Not to mention the parties he's been having. He had Earth, Wind, and Fire at one of his parties, then Stevie Wonder at another (correct me if I'm wrong about which musicians were there). Plus, being on ESPN picking out his winners for the NCAA Tournament Bracket. He's gettin a lot of face time, but a lot of it has NOTHING to do with the problems the country he is supposed to be leading is having. Seems like he's just "livin the dream".
