Blow up a building for $5,207
A buyer won an auction to blow up a building on eBay.
South Charleston -- One eBay auction winner is going to have a blast in South Charleston next week.
At 9 a. m. next Saturday they will get to push the button that implodes the former union carbide building.

Pushing a button? Lame. I'd much rather take a baseball bat or sledge hammer to that sucker. Then press the button.

at least all the money is being donated to the school.... i can see some alum or something pushing the bid way up for that purpose

The St. Louis Cardinals had an auction like this a couple of years ago when they were going to demolish their building. I forgot how much the person paid to push the button there but it was a heavy amount. More than 5K
