    Sticker Auto question

I'm looking to get a Shaq auto and as some of you may know he only signs (signed) w/Topps and b/c of that he has a ton of sticker autos and only a hand full of on card autos. I've been thinking about this though and want you guys/gals opinions. Have you ever seen a sticker after several years when it cracks and loses cohesion. How would these stickers be any different. I mean in thirty years from now will it still look as good or stick on the card. I don't think they would fall off, but wouldn't they start to crack even if in a good holder. Maybe not, but just wanted your thoughts. I'm one of those guys who plans on having a life long collection so I don't want something like that to look bad years down the road, but maybe I'm just thinking too much.

You know that's a very good question, I really never thought about that. Coming from a person who mainly collects on card autos, I really don't know how to answer that question, and seeing as how sticker autos are still very new, I don't think anyone could honestly give you an answer. I guess only time will tell.

However, if you are that worried, I'll just stick with the on card autos of Shaq.

Yeah, but they carry a little bit of a premium. But I'm going to do my best to get an on card auto. Thanks for the reply.

i would imagine that the sticker autos, over time, could possibly start to crack or detach if exposed to the elements (air) for a long period of time....though, they should be fine if you put them in a screw down or magnetic case, seal them in team baggies, and store them properly
