Going to see The Devils @ Chicago 3/27
Im a big Devils fan and they dont play near Indiana too much. Went and seen them play earlier this year at the Joe, but the seats were horrible. I turn 23 on Wednesday, so my parents and older brother scored 2 tickets as my gift. Im going with my brother.
Just a few questions for the veteran NHL game attendees out there. When/Where are the best times and places to try and get autos? Ive been to plenty of pro sports games, but never tried to get autos, espcecially NHL. Do they sign any during warm-ups? Should i wait until after the game? If so, where should I go to try and catch them? Id obviously be wanting to get the Devils players, so where should I go to get visiting teams? Thanks for any info fellas

I'm excited for you. I know once I go to my first game I'm going to be hooked. I too need to find out where to get the autos and what not.
Happy early b-day too!

i'm not really sure about visiting teams but i would guess the bus after the game by the players parking? after the game better chance than before .maybe if you are on a devils message board you can find what hotel they stay at in chicago.

Adam,
The best thing is to find out a few things which is the hard part.
Where do they stay (hotel)? A lot of teams stay at a nearby hotel and walk, some take the bus, etc.
What time is their morning skate. If you can catch them you can watch the morning skate and also try to get some before or after. Of course you can get those that walked if the hotel is nearby.
Do the Hawks have a place where players sign after the game. I know the Pred's have a place downstairs but let just say it crazy with fans trying to get auto's. So better going the route of hotel or morning skate in my opinion.
p.s. Best thing is to find guys or gals that do hounding in the Chicago area. As each team uses a different hotel and sometimes it can change from year to year. So hopefully, someone else will chime in on this.
