Just signed up for SCF
Hi Everyone,
Just signed up for SCF and got the VIP membership. For the money it seems like a great deal. I love sports cards, have since I was a kid. Got out of it in the late 80s/early 90s because of the way card manufacturers trashed the industry there for awhile.
I jumped back in last year whole heartedly and opened up my own Ebay store. Now I'm a PowerSeller on Ebay and ship all over the world, and have never looked back.
Recently, my wife encouraged me to get plugged in to the online community in a more direct way via Twitter, MySpace, and FaceBook, and in the process I found SCF. This format seems like a great way to connect to those folks who love the industry just like I do and have similiar interests.
Plus, I hope that it will help get my shop's name out there and that I might be able to both learn, educate, and share experiences. I don't have a physical location, it's just not cost effective anymore. I know several dealers in the DFW area that do, and they're just barely getting by. Lord knows, we need them, and I buy stuff from them on a regular basis to do my little part in keeping them afloat, but for me - it's not an option.
Besides, my Ebay store keeps me busier than a one legged man in a butt kick'in contest as it is. Now I have the added time of keeping up with my online "friends" in the aforementioned venues.
I look forward to getting to know some new friends here and being a part of the community. :)
Sincerely,
-

Great! We'd love to have you.
Thanks for the reply! We'd love to have you. Our repeat customer list is probably 40% of our business, which I think is great.
We have have a standing special on shipping of $2.50 to the US for unlimited single cards (which is 99.99% of the store), everyone seems to love that.
I've really focused on the 2008-09 Topps Chrome basketball cards this year and I think we have the largest selection of those cards on Ebay. A LOT of set builders for that product come to the store.
I'm only missing 3 cards to have the full refractor set. I would have had it by now, but I had an error in my inventory that included some of my personal ones on the site and someone was smart and bought them! LOL
No doubt they're some of the short printed cards that aren't serial numbered, but were short printed just to vex us set builders!! LOL
Thanks for the welcome, we'll learn together.

Thanks will do. I have a huge back log of cards to list. It's my never ending process! I find it ironic that I've now added these new online forums, but these add a real sense of community that is both refreshing and fulfilling.
Thanks everyone!
