    i love plates. its cool to own a plate that was used to make thousands upon thousands of cards. i just HATE IT when they have like a magenta version, then a black version, then a yellow version, etc, etc, etc.

    But thats how they are used...There is a Magenta, Cyan, Yellow plates which combine to make any colour (same way your printer works) then black ... So if youre ok with plates, why hate the fact that there is 4 of each one when that is in fact how the cards are made?

    just because there are different variations doesnt mean they should release everyone of them. it kills the value of them. plates hardly have any value at all to them. but if they cut back on releasing so many of them then they would actually be valuable. thanx

    Yeh, but some people see it as a challenge to get all 4 colours, and have the ability to reproduce the card, i think its a good thing personally, but each to their own

    I don't like them...I don't consider each color of one guy to be a separate 1/1, I consider them to be different versions of the same 1/1, like how Topps labels all of a guy's letter patch cards as 1/1s even though there are multiple versions for each letter. The only plates I collect are ones of players I collect. However, I do admit that having all four colors of one plate is awesome.

    I like them, it was cool to get my O.J. Mayo Co-Signers plate because they only made 50 autographed versions of the RC, but a few thousand others.

    i like them, since they are made to make cards that have been printed thousands of times, i think its cool, i dont like how they make tons of parallel 1/1's and stuff though

    agreed...

    plates = very nice

    a red, blue, gold, green, indigo, and violtet version of the same card and callig it a 1/1 is stupid.

    I voted yes but my thoughts on plates changes just about daily.
    I guess it boils down to the color, photo, player, set...
    Some look great, others not so much.
    I used to hate the 'framed' plates, now they're almost my favorite of the 2 kinds.
    Band-aids/sticker autos on plates are the worst though, IMO.
