Collecting / organizing & pricing
I want to start off by saying I am a rookie collector & a pastor for The Salvation Army.
I have a bunch of cards but now need to get organized and focused.
I have been collection cards for a while and am looking for a software program I can buy to keep track of my cards and if possible one with pricing downloads.
Does this product exsist?
What is everyone using out there?

First off welcome to SCF!
Now onto your question, here on SCF we have a card inventory where you can keep track of all of your cards without taking up space on your computer. You can access that in your user Control Panel. Other than that i mainly use spreadsheets or just make a list in a word document. I am not aware of a program that allows you to download prices, but you could always sign up for pricing magazine either online or get the actual magazine sent to your home. let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions.
Take care

Thanks for your help.
I am a little nervouse having my entire collection dependant on a web site. I have been trying out a program called Sports Pro 2009 or Pro sports 2009.
It supposedly has a way of downloading prices from Becketts site.
Thanks for your help, I'll let you know what I come up with.

I mostly collect baseball, but have been buying cards in lots for past 10 years, now it is time to start inventorying. I have about 50,000 cards.
It is something me and my grandsons will spend many hours having fun at. I figure once we get them sorted and inventoryied, I will probubly give each of them a sport, Ill be keeping the baseball ones. They can fight over them in 30 or 40 years when they are a part of my estate, but until them it is something we can share togather.

If you want a collectable inventory program I'd suggest The Card Collector 7.0 This program can be obtained by purchasing a cd from the company located in Texas and updates are available to you at a reasonable cost through the internet if you want them that way or you can order the update cd. All the info is in the program and all you have to do is enter the quantity of cards for each player. I have been using this program since the 90's when it 1st came out.
