Finally got to a game this year...

I always try to make it to at least one game a year but so far have not had the funds, or been able to land tickets so I thought I was outta luck...So I get a call from my uncle today at just before 5 saying that his friend (season ticket holder) has 2 tickets that he wants to sell for tonights game.

I look at the clock...only an hour and 45 min. til gametime...I ask how much. He says $80 for the pair. Since Ive been wanting to get to a game this year but havent been able to, I said I would take them. Woke my dad up (who has pneumonia lol) and said "lets go to the game". We drive to niagara falls to grab the tickets, and leave for buffalo around 6. We make it to the game with a solid 15 min. to spare lol

Game was looking bleak when we went down 3-1 in the third...but a few quick goals and we ended up coming from behind for a 5-3 victory

It was a good time, and a great game overall. Especially when Afinogenov scored an empty netter with about 20 seconds to go and got hit with a cheap elbow after the goal by a dirty Nathan Horton and then the entire team proceeded to go after him. Really though, I cant understand these cheap head shots after the whistle. I dont have a video of it but I lost all repect for Horton because of it. He score, you lost...get over it and dont throw dirty head shots...

anyway here are a few pics from our seats..

    before the game...

    2nd period faceoff...

and a picture of my ticket that I took while enjoying a victory Iced Cap at Tim Hortons after the game with my daddy lol

What a great game to watch as your first game of the year. I've been to only one Blackhawks game this year (200+ miles one-way, but I have relatives who live there, so it doubles up as a family visit).

Hockey is so much better live, in person, than what you see on TV. What a great experience, all the way around. Congrats!

Yep, it was definitely and awesome game to go to. Only issue was of course I got stuck right behind the drunkest, loudest, most obnoxious fan out of the 18,000 in attendance lol

congrats on being able to go to a good game! but curios. was it 80 for the pair or 80 a pop for those tickets? cause 80 a pair for those seats is a great steal. wish i could get that for a kings game

I got them for $80 total cause it was only an hour before the game and the guy needed to sell them. Generally here in Buffalo it is nearly impossible to get tickets for face value, let alone below face value. Definitely a nice little steal
