I'm a new guy
Just wanted to say hello. I was told I should get in here and talk a little about myself and what I collect. I'm 26 years old I live in Midlothian, VA and have lived in this area all my life. I have been married to my beautiful wife for a little over three years now and we have our first little one on the way. I'm self employed and I'm basically a handyman. My house is a fixer upper, so I work on it a lot. I have an aquarium that I enjoy, when it's running smoothly. I stay pretty involved with my Church. I really like baseball and things involving baseball. I started getting into baseball cards when I was a little kid and I never really stopped. My wife gives me grief for that. I grew up going to lots of Richmond Braves baseball games, from 11, or so, to 15 or 16 I didn't miss to many home games. I have a bit of a collection of autographed cards. I mainly collect cards with the hope of getting them autographed. Since I have a baby on the way I'm sure I won't do it as much as I used to, but I have gone to spring training in FL for about the last 15 years, except for one that I missed. I also have done a fair amount of traveling when I can to other minor league parks and up to D.C. and Baltimore for major league games. I was able to go to the World Baseball Classic first round in Orlando FL in 2006 and I loved it. Since then the WBC has become my favorite baseball event. I've also gotten into international baseball a little bit because of it. I went out to San Diego for WBC round two action at Petco park just a few weeks ago and had a blast. Hopfully I will be able to go to the next one in 2013. As of the last few years most of my collecting has been of WBC cards. Trying to complete some of the harder sets and get them autographed. I usually will buy one or two of the bowman sets every year as well. If anybody has any of the low numbered World Future Stars cards or plates that they want to get off their hands let me know. Those are the sets I'm mainly working on right now, but I'm interested in all the WBC cards. Thanks for checking this out. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them. Later,
Jacob
