Jason Kidd misses first game as a Maverick
DALLAS (AP)—Jason Kidd missed the Dallas Mavericks’ game against the Denver Nuggets after injuring his lower back the previous game.
Kidd missed practice Thursday and was held out of a shootaround Friday, but coach Rick Carlisle hoped his star point guard would still be able to play Friday night. He couldn’t, sitting out for the first time after playing 100 straight games since joining the Mavericks in a trade 13 months ago.

Wow, he's one of the NBA's "Ironmen"...must've been hurting him pretty bad for him to sit out, or maybe he's sitting out now so he doesn't have to in the playoffs.

Barea was AWESOME and made some huge clutch baskets for them tonight! They needed it, too - actually, they needed more since they lost, but Barea still did his part.

I know the bean was huge, they just didn't have enough, Melo was amazing too, wish they would've called a foul when Dirk got the rebound off the free throw at the end, looked like it to me.

They won't lose it, it wouldn't shock me seeing them get to a 6 seed since it's only 1 game away...

If he's out for a few games then they certainly could. Just takes 3 losses and 3 Suns wins in a row for them to be tied.

Barea is alot better than people give him credit for, did you watch the game against the Nugs? He scored like 20 in the 2nd half and hit a huge 3 to put them up with like 20 seconds left, Kidd being out had nothing to do with the loss, it was because they couldn't guard Anthony.
