my favorite games were "Yo Noid" if anyone remembers the Noid from Dominos Pizza, and "Tiny Toon Adventures" also "Bubble Bobble"
Those were great games! I played Bubble Bobble to death in particular during my Kindergarten days.
hector - I meant the original NES version. Although I didn't beat the Arcade one either until it came out on the NES in a much easier and more coin-friendly form (TMNT II). :)
I re-bought the NES a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure my original one broke down sometime in the '90s.

The nes is a blast im up to 6 nes systems and up over 100 games total with some doubles trips and quads of some games lol. I got addicted to game collecting when i repicked up the SNES not horribly long ago.
Some of my non obvious choice favorites (obvious would be mario ect.)
Metal Gear Solid
Snakes Revenge (these are the two games that started that series for the next gen systems)
The Castlevanias
Final Fantasy
Billy Bayou
World Cup Soccer
Roger Clemens Baseball
Theres ssoooo many!

I still have my NES from when I was a kid. My favorite, then and now, Super Mario 3. A lot of great games out there but nothing could really compare to it. A close second was Castlevania.

I really like the first and the second editions for the nes. The first had Dorsett, Payton, and Jackson while the second had Smith, Sanders, Thomas, and I believe Jackson again.

Yeah..the SNES Tecmos were fun too, but TSB on the NES is my favorite. It's been awhile since I played the original Tecmo Bowl though.

NES is my favorite system. I modded my Xbox a few years ago just so I could run the emulator on it.
My favorites are:
- Legend of Zelda - first game I ever beat.
- Bases Loaded - Paste and Bay averaged like 40-60 HR and were back to back in the lineup!
- Metroid - I was shocked that Samsus was a girl (sorry if I spoiled it for you!)
SMB2 - Such a step up from the original SMB.
- Mega Man 3
- Castlevania 3
- Contra - up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b, START!
I used to collect NES games (a collector on this site? No way!). A lot of military moving forced me to sell because of the bulk. I had about 30 factory sealed games I collected over the years including Zelda, Metroid, and SMB3. I also had an original Nintendo game system new in the box. They all fetched a hefty amount of coin.
