    So this doesn't infect Macs?

Also, maybe a dumb question, but can it infect a ps3, or xbox for that matter? I have a separate ethernet cable for online gaming.

    Basically..

Conficker is from Germany, it means Configureation effer..or it could come from trafficcontroller. something i wont say so you don't go. It came out last october and just now started gaining attention because of the fact someome gave microsoft the viruses code which they depicted and found it to reccive new instructions april first. Why it didn't do much april first is set to belive it caught to much hype so the creator didn't want to do anything right then.

As for your saftey I wouldn't be worried, all this will do is use your computer to DOS a bunch of domains..making sites go down for a while.

It won't steal your bank account info or paypal, big viruses like this never do. Most of the time it's made by people who di it for a challange and I myself made a few but never did anything with them. It's only the popup viruses like vundu.trojan that steal cc info.

Sorry if I went on pm me for questions!

    After reading some questions:

It can't and wont infect your routers or xbox's..what it's going to be used for is Packeting/DOSING websites.

Another thing is, this isn't ment to scare you buy AVG doesn't really pick it up nither does NOD32 <-- best antivirus. I'm sure your all safe. It hasnt really done much in the US mostly in Europe (Russia were it began since there is no computer laws there)

Also, like I said sometimes they aren't sad at all. The massive ILOVEYOU virus that spread through email was made because someone was forced too for their life.
