Ok, finally decided to create a thread dedicated to my 2009 IP successes. Starting with today's, 4/1/09, successes:

Timberwolves's Kevin Love made an appearance at the Best Buy store out in Shakopee, MN today. Got him to sign a trading card for me:



Immediately, after getting Kevin Love's autograph, drove about 11 minutes within the vicinity, where Wilds players Niklas Backstrom, Cal Clutterbuck, Mikko Koivu, and Andrew Brunette were making an appearance at a Chevrolet dealership out in Shakopee, MN as well. Didn't have anything for Andrew Brunette to sign this time so I skipped out on him. Got Backstrom to sign a photo that was already signed by Gaborik, Clutterbuck on a trading card, and Koivu on a trading card too:

Have you ever seen the guy in the chicago burbs? He has TONS of IP successes all over the area. The phils,eagles, and sixers are not that available

Yeah, I've seen his thread and successes, good stuff. I guess depending on where you live, some cities are more fan friendlier than others as well as offer more free signings in the area too.

Way ahead of ya. I sent it to Stan Love's home the very next day right after I got Kevin's sig. Hopefully, he signs it, would be sweet to have a card signed by both father and son NBA players.

Attended the Timberwolves vs. Nuggets game today. As usual got to the Target Center when the doors opened and tried to graph by the visitor's tunnel. Here are my results from pre-game shoot around:

Timberwolves
Kevin Ollie - 1/1 index card (got him since he used the visitor's tunnel to go to the back)
Bobby Brown - 1/1 trading card (this guy loves to sign as he enters from the visitor's tunnel, sign for everybody there and exits from the Timberwolve's tunnel, signing for everybody there as well)

Nuggets
Johan Petro - 1/1 trading card
Chris Andersen - 1/1 index card
assistant coach Adrian Dantley - 1/1 trading card
Chauncey Billups - 1/1 trading card






After the game, waited out by the Nuggets' team bus and here are the results:

Nene - 1/1 trading card (when he came out told everybody that he'll be back as he boarded the bus. true to his words, he dropped off his stuff, came back out and signed for EVERYBODY! definitely a class act and newfound respect for him.)

The rest of the Nuggets didn't sign and just ignored everybody. The Bird Man signed again, but I didn't get him. Missed out on Carmelo Anthony as he came out and proceeded to sign a little bit for the people to the right of me and onward. Majorly bummed out, but oh well, can't win them all.

Won free admission to Boyz II Men's performance at Epic nightclub in downtown Minneapolis through a radio station's online contest today. Got there kind of late and missed some of their performances. Only caught the last hour of their performance. After they performed, went outside to the back of the club to wait for the guys to get out. Got Shawn Stockman, Nathan Morris, and Wanya Morris to each sign an index card for me. It was truly an awesome experience for me to meet and obtain the autographs of one of my favorite R&B singing groups of all time! I'm still in awe of how humble and down to earth they were. This has to be one of my favorite IP successes ever.

Met Minnesota Twins' shortstop, Brendan Harris, today at an appearance he was doing for the Twins Pro Shop over in Roseville, MN. Got him to sign my mini-bat.
